Tarots
Each order comes with a hand-picked tarot card to guide your journey.
The earliest depiction of the tarot was found in Northern Italy during the 15th century, though nobody knows exactly who or where it came from. Initially, the deck was created as a simple playing card game which slowly evolved during the Renaissance era into a fortune telling game. During this time, society took card games, passionate play, and artwork very seriously. When tarot started to gain traction as a fortune telling game, it spread across Europe quickly. We don’t have definitive proof of the card’s original meaning or artistry. However, during the Renaissance era, there was a revival in Egyptian and Hermetic philosophies which greatly influenced the artworks produced at this time.
